Battlestar Galactica Belt Rig – 1970s Classic Edition

Step into the world of the original Battlestar Galactica with this handcrafted belt rig inspired by the iconic 1970s TV series. Whether you're building a screen-accurate cosplay or just want a bold statement piece, this rig is designed to impress.

    Belt & Holster Details:

Belt: Classic black, durable, and built to last. The belt will fit up to a 47" waist. If your waist is bigger than that, we will need to splice your belt and add the length form a donor belt, which adds to the cost. We apologize in advance, but we are getting the belts from the UK. After Import fees, shipping, and the cost of the belt, each belt is rather pricy.

Holster: Available in black or dark brown (Note: Dark Brown holsters are painted, so they will be more prone to scratching than the black holsters). 

Gold parts: Includes three 3D-printed gold components that attach to the belt. You can leave them as-is or paint them to your preference for added realism. You decide where on the belt you would like them and install them yourself. We supply the screws for you.

     Assembly Tips:

The holster mounts to the belt using the included Chicago screws through the belts Grommets.

Once you’re satisfied with the belt fit, we recommend reinforcing the metal Grommets, (where the screws are being attached), with CA glue to better bond them to the belt’s webbing for long-lasting hold.

    Drop Options:

The "Drop" refers to the section connecting the belt to the holster:

Leather Drop Option: Offers flexibility and comfort, ideal for enhanced movement in costume.

one piece/Kydex Option: For those seeking screen-accurate accuracy—crafted just like in the original show, the holster and drop are made out of one piece of Kydex. Getting a sheet in the size needed for this option is expensive, which is the reason for the price difference.

    Sizing Info:

To ensure the best fit, please provide:

Waist measurement: Where you want the belt to sit (not your pants size).

Thigh measurement: About 2/3 down your thigh. If no measurement is provided, a standard 20"-22" strap will be included.
